Before we get into Lead Generation it's important to understand exactly what a lead is. A lead is any person whose problem you can solve with your company's product or service.
Now, what is lead generation?
Lead generation is the process of finding leads into people whose problems you can solve into customers who are ready to purchase your products or benefit from the services you offer.
Some examples of basic lead generators are blog posts, advertisements and online content. These lead generators are just a few examples of of the strategies you can use to attract potential customers to your offers or websites.
Every time I speak with anyone, not familiar with the affiliate marketing world, who asks me what I do, I find myself in a position where I can't simply say, "I'm an affiliate marketer and lead generation coach." My words would be totally lost on them, and I'd come off a spammy.
Instead, I tell them, "I teach people how to generate highly targeted leads that convert into sales so that they can spend more time with their families."
That usually resonates better. And, that's exactly what lead generation is: A method of warming up potential customers, while guiding them on the path to eventually making a purchase.
